Carbon Estate is an initiative to identify and acquire land suitable for sequestering carbon utilising the best method known – planting woodlands – to establish native ecosystems for the benefit of nature conservation, biodiversity, sympathetic leisure activities, education and well-being within our environment.

We have been considering the concept since early in 2008, steadily researching the issues specific to the UK, and believe we are close to a meaningful methodology even as we face the post-Kyoto uncertainties.
